Just Compassion Mobile

Ways You Can Help

  • Donate Money. Just Compassion has no paid staff and minimal expenses. Every dollar you give goes toward the purchase of our first mobile dental unit. Your gifts are tax-deductible because Just Compassion is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity. You can donate here.

  • Donate Supplies. Our goal is to provide every patient with a free dental kit. Each kit should contain: 1) toothbrush, 2) small tube of toothpaste, 3) dental floss and 4) mouth rinse/mouthwash. All items must be unopened. Toothpaste expiration dates must go beyond the current calendar year. If you have a large number of supplies to donate, please contact Tom Heaton.

  • Volunteer. Once our mobile dental unit is deployed, we will need licensed dentists and dental hygienists to volunteer their time to treat our patients. Time commitments will be by the day/week, during school hours. If you’re interested in serving with us, please email us.

  • Invite a Speaker. If you would like a Just Compassion representative to speak to your group/organization about the importance of our mission, just contact Tom Heaton and a schedule will be arranged.

  • Host a Fundraiser. You can ask your friends and family to make a donation to Just Compassion in order to celebrate your birthday or other special occasion via PayPal or Facebook. You’ll be notified as to who gave so you can make the appropriate thanks. All donors will receive a tax acknowledgment from Just Compassion.

  • Spread the Word. If you are active on social media and believe in the need to promote adequate medical/dental care to people who can’t afford it, please mention Just Compassion on your posts. The greater the number of people who know about us, the sooner we will be able to purchase and deploy the mobile dental unit.

  • Tell Us About Potential Contacts. We are always looking for individuals and organizations with whom we can partner in order to fulfill our mission. Examine your circle of contacts and let us know if you think of a possible partner.

  • Notify Us About Possible Granting Foundations. Many foundations are required by the Internal Revenue Service to make grants to non-profit organizations. Each foundation has its own set of requirements and criteria. We are more than happy to explore the grant guidelines of any foundation and, where applicable, submit the appropriate material.
